Big Mesa Trail - Moab, UT | Do This With Wipe Out Hill

I did Big Mesa Trail right after finishing up Wipe Out Hill. When you're about 90% done with Wipe Out Hill, it intersects with Big Mesa. On the Trails Offroad app, it said the trail takes about 30 minutes, so I figured I’d give it a shot.

It’s rated a 5/5 difficulty, which I think is accurate. There’s one hill obstacle that earns that rating. I threw on my rear locker—probably not actually needed, but I like to use it just in case. I’d rather have it engaged and not need it than wish I did.

After that one obstacle, that’s it for the difficult parts. It’s pretty smooth sailing for the final 25 minutes of the trail. The entire time, you get beautiful views of the red rocks.

I think this is a fun add-on trail to do, but I wouldn’t make a trip specifically for it. Pair it up with other nearby trails instead.
