Bulldog Canyon 3554
Share
I explore the bulldog canyon OHV area in Apache Junction. Bulldog Canyon 3554 is the shortest of the 4 main Bulldog trails and is also unlike all the others in a few ways. For one thing the terrain is quite different. While Bulldog Canyon 10, 3512 and 1356 are all pretty rocky, 3554 is sandy. The entire trail is soft sand and pretty wide. There is only one minor hill climb and other than that the entire trail is flat. It wasn't a challenge for my Gladiator whatsoever, but it was still fun because the soft sand was a nice change of pace from the typical rocky terrain of Phoenix 4x4 trails. It only took us about 45 minutes, but you could likely do it even faster, especially if you were in a SXS. The rock formations were by far the best part. Visually, they were stunning and fun to ride up close to them. There were also a ton of off-chute trails that I'd like to go back and explore to see what I can find. Bulldog Canyon is one of the best places to offroad in the Phoenix area! I recommend starting on this trail then when you're at the Bulldog Canyon 10 intersection, turn right and finish trail 10. That will make for a very fun day!
