Charouleau Gap - This Offroad Trail Has It All

This is Charouleau Gap or as the locals call it, Charouleau's Gap. This is an amazing offroad trail in Oracle, Arizona. It starts out flat, smooth trails with great views. It doesn't take long to turn up the difficulty and technicality tho! There are rutted out, rocky sections that have multiple different lines to choose from. This keeps it really interesting. There are sections that have deep ditches dug out in the trail that you can either ride on top of or dip down into depending on your style. Also, there a several severe rated optional obstacles that are fun to try. I attempted a few of them but wasn't able to make any. I plan to go back one day and try again! In the 2nd half of the trail there are a lot of water crossing that are really fun. Mainly because when off-roading in Arizona, water is so rare. The water wasn't deep at all, but still exciting for me. Finally the trail ends with some fun hill climbs and higher trail speeds. Overall I loved this trail for the length, beauty and variety!
