Poison Spider Mesa - Moab, Utah

Poison Spider is a fantastic trail. It's one of the most popular in Moab for a reason. There are a ton of optional obstacles that will test your vehicle and driving skills. One in particular was a big v notch I was very nervous going into it, but I made sure to get out and inspect the obstacle before tackling it. There were a ton of steep hill climbs, open flat areas and slickrock. The slickrock for me is always one of my favorite parts. Even steep hill climbs are a breeze since it's so grippy. From the very start of this trail you're surrounding by amazing views. The beautiful landscape stretches 360 degrees in every direction. We did this trail in late July and we only saw two other groups. I guess the heat was a little too much for everyone. This trail took us about 5 hours to complete. It was our second trail of the day so by then end of it we were pretty tired. We left the trail with fond memories.
